Jesus Ruperto A. Manacsa, CMP, is a dynamic professional whose career spans academia, marketing, and military service. As a Certified Marketing Professional with an ongoing Master of Business Administration (CAR) from Laguna College of Business and Arts, he embodies the fusion of theoretical knowledge and practical application. His diverse skill set includes technical drafting, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification, and expertise in marketing management, complemented by roles as a college professor and marketing assistant.

Manacsa’s commitment to continuous learning is evident through his active participation in organizations like the Calamba Chess Society and his role as a DRR Youth Ambassador for the Philippines. His journey reflects a dedication to excellence, leadership, and community service, making him a respected figure in both academic and professional circles.

How Did He Discover SMI International?

“I first discovered it when one of my former colleague talks about it. Then afterwards I saw her using the CMP post nominal extension. It made me curious what is CMP? Is it differing from CPM? Then I did some research. And there, I applied for it.”

What Made Him Consider Getting Certified with SMI?

“As I’ve said, I did some research about the organization. When I knew the SMI Philippines is accredited and certified to release post nominal extension, that gave me the initial push to enroll. But to make it sure first, I needed to know up to what extent SMI is accredited, I mean, is there any international body accrediting them? Is CMP is recognized in the industry? Because there are some certifications that are not recognized in the industry in general.”

Was There a Specific Goal He Had in Mind When He Signed Up?

“My specific goal is to expand more my knowledge in sales and marketing by the help of other SMI members. Being a professor, it is really important to get some new ideas and points from the actual sales of marketing practitioners.”

The Impact of Certification on Professional Growth

While relatively new to the SMI community, Manacsa has already begun leveraging his CMP certification to enhance his academic career. The credential has bolstered his confidence in teaching methodologies and classroom leadership, demonstrating the immediate value of professional certification in educational settings. His proactive approach to sharing this opportunity with colleagues and students underscores his commitment to collective growth within his institution.

“ I already endorsed CMP certification in my organization and there’s already one who passed CMP. In addition, our organization also introduced the AMP Certification to our students.”
